:: A CARNIVOROUS PLANT AT HOME - CULTIVATION INSTRUCTIONS 5

To cultivate these carnivorous plants, hold the following advices

Arrange in the bottom of a pond or aquarium 5 to 10 cm of peat and pour demineralized water or rain water and stir. Allow the liquid to clear up: it will turn to yellow straw (the required time is a minimum of two months). Subsequently implant in the peat bottom plants companions, such as sedges, cattails, water lilies, depending on the size of your container.

Introduce microfauna, harvested in a
clean pool, and remove tens milliliters of water and pour in the water in your pound or aquarium. Finally, arrange in open water your carnivorous aquatic plants.

Test the pH, it should be between 5.5 and 6, ensure that the water remains clear, remove the algae that might form.

Never do it. Never believe it.

Never spray the plants with water.

No fertilizer, they are frugal.

Do not feed with insects nor with chopped meat. They won't die of hunger, their roots allow them to draw water, and small amounts of minerals contained in the peat. The supplement is made by the catched preys.
